Dr. Jeffrey Sevigny, M.D., serves as Chief Medical Officer at Rapport Therapeutics Inc., where he leads the clinical development organization and shapes the strategic advancement of the company’s precision neuromedicine pipeline targeting G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) for neurological disorders. With his deep expertise in immunology, inflammation, and infectious diseases, Dr. Sevigny drives the translation of Rapport’s novel small-molecule programs from preclinical stages through clinical proof-of-concept, ensuring rigorous scientific execution and regulatory alignment to address unmet needs in conditions like epilepsy and neurodevelopmental disorders. Bringing over two decades of pharmaceutical leadership, Dr. Sevigny previously held the role of Global Head of Clinical Development for Immunology and Dermatology at Novartis, overseeing a portfolio of late-stage assets that included expansions for secukinumab and other biologics in autoimmune diseases. Earlier, as Vice President of Clinical Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb, he spearheaded immunology programs, and at Cubist Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Merck), he played a pivotal role in securing FDA approvals for tedizolid and dalbavancin, landmark antibiotics for acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections. A board-certified specialist in internal medicine and infectious diseases, Dr. Sevigny earned his M.D. from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, followed by residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His career also includes academic roles at Harvard, where he contributed to groundbreaking research in host-pathogen interactions, underscoring his commitment to innovative therapies that transform patient outcomes.
