Ms. Higashi has served as a director since May 2017. Ms. Higashi currently serves as the chair of our Corporate Governance/Nominating Committee and member of our Audit Committee and Corporate Development Committee. Ms. Higashi also serves on the boards of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. (TSE/NYSE), where she serves as the chair of the Compensation Committee and member of the Nomination Committee, and has served on the Audit Supervisory Committee; Rapidus Corporation, a Japanese semiconductor foundry business focused on 2 nm and beyond manufacturing. Ms. Higashi is a member of the Industrial Structure Council, appointed in July 2025 by METI, Japan. Prior to her investment banking career, Ms. Higashi spent two years as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. in Tokyo, Japan. Ms. Higashi holds a B.A. from International Christian University in Tokyo, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Ms. Higashi s experience in investment banking, M&A and finance, as a director of several publicly traded companies globally, and as a founder and partner of a venture capital firm, led the Board of Directors to conclude that she should serve as a director.
