Neil Bluhm serves as Executive Chairman of Rush Street Interactive Inc. (NYSE: RSI), a leading provider of online casino and sports betting products in regulated markets across North America and beyond. A Chicago native born in 1938, Bluhm earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Illinois and a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. He launched his career in real estate, co-founding JMB Realty Corporation in 1969 with Judd Malkin. The firm grew into one of the largest real estate investment companies in the U.S., developing and managing billions in commercial properties worldwide before its eventual sale. Bluhm expanded into the gaming sector in the late 2000s, co-founding Rush Street Gaming, which developed award-winning casino properties such as Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Des Plaines, and Schenectady. Leveraging this expertise, he spearheaded the creation of Rush Street Interactive in 2012 as the company's online gaming arm, pioneering regulated iGaming and sports betting platforms. Under his guidance, RSI achieved rapid growth, securing licenses in key markets like Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, and Ontario. As Executive Chairman, Bluhm has been instrumental in RSI's 2020 public listing via a SPAC merger on the NYSE, driving innovation in player experiences and responsible gaming. His achievements include building RSI into a top-tier operator with strong revenue growth and market share, while his broader legacy encompasses a net worth exceeding $7 billion, minority stakes in the Chicago Bulls and United Center, and extensive philanthropy in arts and education.
