James C. Reagan is the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a Fortune 500 company delivering mission-critical technical, engineering, and enterprise IT services primarily to the U.S. government. Appointed to this role in September 2024 following the departure of CEO Niral Patel, Reagan provides steady leadership during the search for a permanent successor. With more than 30 years of experience in the defense, aerospace, and government services sectors, he has held senior executive positions focused on finance, operations, and strategic growth. Reagan joined SAIC in 2013 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, guiding the company through its spin-off from Leidos and establishing a strong financial foundation that supported consistent revenue growth and shareholder value. In 2021, he advanced to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing global operations, program delivery, and business development, which contributed to key contract wins exceeding $10 billion in areas like cybersecurity, space systems, and artificial intelligence. Prior to SAIC, Reagan served as CFO at L-3 Communications (now L3Harris Technologies) and held progressive finance roles at Lockheed Martin, where he managed multibillion-dollar portfolios for U.S. defense programs. His tenure at SAIC has been marked by operational excellence, earning the company accolades such as the U.S. Department of Defense's Chief Information Officer Award for cybersecurity and repeated spots on Forbes' lists of America's Best Large Employers. A certified public accountant, Reagan holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, blending rigorous financial acumen with deep industry insight.
