He also spent 17 years at Applied Materials, where he held several key roles, including Vice President of the Maioro Product Business Group and Director of the Advanced Technology Group. As CEO of SkyWater Technology, Sonderman is responsible for guiding the company's strategic direction and overseeing its operations. Under his leadership, SkyWater has focused on expanding its technology portfolio and customer base, particularly in the areas of advanced packaging, IoT, and aerospace and defense. Sonderman's vision for the company is to become a leading provider of differentiated semiconductor solutions that address the growing demand for secure, reliable, and high-performance chips. Sonderman holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
