Dragan Cicic, M.D., is Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at SELLAS Life Sciences Group, Inc., a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company developing novel cancer immunotherapies. In this pivotal role, he leads the company's clinical development operations, overseeing the strategic advancement of SELLAS's proprietary lead candidate, galinpepimut-S (GPS), a Wilms Tumor 1 (WT1)-targeting immunotherapy, through Phase 3 trials for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and into potential registrational studies for other solid tumors. Under his guidance, SELLAS has achieved key milestones, including positive interim data from the REGAL Phase 3 trial and successful FDA interactions. With over 25 years of experience in oncology drug development, Dragan previously served as Vice President of Clinical Development at Celgene Corporation (now Bristol Myers Squibb), where he directed global programs in immuno-oncology, cell therapy, and hematologic malignancies, contributing to the approval of several breakthrough therapies. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at ImClone Systems (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly), Oncothyreon Inc., and Biomira Inc., leading the clinical progression of antibody-drug conjugates and peptide vaccines from IND filings through Phase 3 studies. A graduate of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine, Dragan is board-certified in internal medicine and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presentations at major oncology congresses.
