Ms. Ye il has served as a member of our Board of Directors since May 2021 and as a director on the Social Finance Board of Directors from July 2018 until May 2021. Ms. Ye il is a founder, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist of many of the world s top technology companies, including Salesforce.com, Inc., in which she was the first investor and founding board member until 2005. Ms. Ye il served as a general partner at U.S. Venture Partners, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm, from 1998 to 2005, where she oversaw investments in more than 30 companies, and served on the board of many early-stage companies. A technology pioneer, Ms. Ye il founded three of the first companies dedicated to commercializing internet access, e-commerce infrastructure, and electronic payments, UUnet, CyberCash, and MarketPay, which earned her the Entrepreneur of the Year title from Red Herring magazine in 1997. She is also a founder of Broadway Angels, a group of female venture capitalists and angel investors. Ms. Ye il is currently working on her fourth startup, Informed.IQ, an AI company automating the processing of consumer loan applications in real-time where she serves as a member of the board of directors. She is the author of the best-selling book Power UP! How Smart Women Win in the New Economy , and is one of the four women featured in the non-fiction book Alpha Girls by Julian Guthrie. In addition to SoFi, Ms. Ye il serves on the boards of Picsart and Plume. Ms. Ye il also served on the board of Smartsheet from 2017 to 2025, until Smartsheet s acquisition in January 2025 by Vista Equity Partners, and on the board of Zuora, which was later acquired by Silver Lake, from 2017 to December 2023. Ms. Ye il holds a bachelor of science in industrial engineering and a master of science in electrical engineering from Stanford University. She is an immigrant to the United States. We believe that Ms. Ye il is qualified to serve as a member of our Board of Directors because of her extensive experience leading and advising technology companies.
