Prior to joining SIRIUSPOINT, Mr. McKinney was Group Chief Financial Officer at Axis Capital Holdings Limited from 2017 to 2021, guiding the Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer through periods of market volatility, catastrophe events, and strategic transformations. He spearheaded initiatives to enhance profitability, optimize capital deployment, and execute mergers and acquisitions, contributing to Axis's resilience and growth. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group, advising on capital markets, M&A, and strategic transactions for insurance clients, as well as positions at AIG and other leading firms. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. McKinney holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce.
