Ms. Fogarty served as the senior vice president of internal audit and compliance at NextEra Energy, Inc. (NextEra) from 2011 until her retirement in June 2014. She previously served NextEra as vice president of internal audit from 2005 to 2010 and director of internal audit from April 1993 through 2004. NextEra remains a leading clean energy company and the parent company of Florida Power & Light, the largest rate-regulated electric utility in Florida. Ms. Fogarty's prior experience leading the audit function at a public energy company bolsters her knowledge of the audit and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements facing public companies today.
