Mr. McCarthy stepped down from Frontier Communications Corporation, a communications company, in December 2019. Since April 2015, he had served as Frontier s President and Chief Executive Officer, having been elected to the Frontier board of directors in May 2014. Prior to that he was President and Chief Operating Officer from April 2012 to April 2015, and, previously, was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from January 2006 to April 2012; Senior Vice President, Field Operations from December 2004 to December 2005; and Senior Vice President, Broadband Operations from January 2004 to December 2004. Mr. McCarthy began his career with Frontier in 1990 and held numerous positions of increasing responsibility within that company. Frontier filed a petition under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in April 2020. Mr. McCarthy brings to the Board his extensive experience as a former chief executive officer, where he demonstrated an ability for oversight, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment across the business. He also brings his experience in strategic planning, financial reporting, the competitive environment, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory affairs.
