Robert Ragusa has served on our Board since November 2016. Mr. Ragusa is currently the Chief Executive Officer of GRAIL, Inc. (GRAIL), a healthcare company focused on early detection of multiple cancers, which was acquired by Illumina, Inc. in August 2021 and spun out as a public company in June 2024. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of GRAIL since October 2021. Mr. Ragusa served as the Chief Operating Officer of Illumina, Inc., a publicly traded corporation providing sequencing and array-based solutions for genetic and genomic analysis, from December 2013 to October 2021. Prior to joining Illumina, Inc., from April 2010 to November 2013, Mr. Ragusa was Executive Vice President, Global Operations and Service at Accuray Incorporated, a radiation oncology company that develops, manufactures, sells and supports cancer treatment solutions. Mr. Ragusa holds a B.S. in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut, and an M.S. in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University. Our Board believes that Mr. Ragusa brings extensive experience with important ecosystem partners and managing operations of large public companies, and this, in addition to his education in biotechnology, finance and management, qualifies him to serve as one of our directors.
