Mr. Ersek has four decades of executive experience in the global financial services industry, having played crucial roles in prominent organizations, driving international growth and business diversification. Mr. Ersek began his financial services career in Europe when he joined Europay/MasterCard in Austria in 1986. After 10 years, he joined General Electric (GE) Capital, taking on the role of Business Development Manager, and also served as GE Corporation's National Executive for Austria and Slovenia. Leveraging his extensive international expertise, Mr. Ersek joined Western Union (a public company) in 1999 and was responsible for international expansion of Western Union in Europe, Africa, and Asia, culminating in his appointment as CEO and a director of the company in 2010.
