Mr. Freeland has served as a director of Valvoline since September 2016 and as Chairman of the Board since January 2022. Mr. Freeland served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Cummins Inc., a diesel engine and components manufacturer, from July 2014 until his retirement in October 2019. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and President of the Engine Business of Cummins from 2010 until 2014 and served in various other leadership positions since joining Cummins in 1979. Education: Mr. Freeland holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial management from Purdue University s Krannert School of Management and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University s Kelley School of Business.
