Dr. DeSalvo served as the Chief Health Officer of Google (a multinational technology company) from December 2019 to August 2025. From 2018 to 2019, she served as professor of medicine and population health at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School and co-lead of the National Alliance to Impact the Social Determinants of Health with former HHS Secretary Michael O.
