Ms. Lopez is a senior executive and board leader with expertise in healthcare, media and governance. From 2005 to 2022, she served as publisher and vice president of Modern Healthcare , a leading source of healthcare business and policy news published by Crain Communications, Inc. During her tenure, she led the successful transformation of Modern Healthcare from a print-focused publication into a financially strong digital media enterprise, significantly expanding its digital reach, audience engagement, and industry influence. Ms. Lopez joined Modern Healthcare in 2001 as associate publisher after serving as national director of advertising for Crain's Chicago Business, where she oversaw record-breaking revenue growth. Earlier in her career, she served as advertising director for the Kansas City Business Journal , building a strong foundation in strategic growth, market development and executive leadership. Ms. Lopez remains actively engaged in board and advisory service. She currently serves on the Dean s Advisory Council for the DePaul University College of Communication and is a board member of The Health Alliance. In addition, she is a fellow of the Institute of Medicine of Chicago and has served on boards and advisory councils of privately-held healthcare companies and nonprofit organizations, including the American Heart Association (Chicago) and the Asian Health Care Leaders Association. Ms. Lopez has been widely recognized for her leadership and impact. She was the inaugural recipient of the Gertrude Crain Leadership Award from the Association of Business Information & Media Companies of SIIA, honoring women who exemplify excellence, service, and success in the B2B media and information industry. She has also been recognized by the Asian Health Care Leaders Association, the Carol Emmott Foundation, and the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education, which established a scholarship in her name. Ms. Lopez brings to our Board a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, informed by decades of executive leadership and active governance experience. Her expertise spans healthcare operations, public policy and regulation, finance and risk oversight, human capital management, media and strategic communications, and information and technology considerations. She offers a pragmatic, governance-focused perspective on growth, leadership development, organizational culture, workforce effectiveness, and long-term sustainability, enabling her to contribute meaningfully to the Company s oversight and decision-making.
